I was raised in Westlake, La. I moved to Lafayette almost 8 years ago to attend the University. At the time I was a single mother raising my oldest son, Poete Pittman, working and taking graduate
classes. I fell in love with the city after being immersed in the culture and meeting so many new and interesting people. In 2005, I was blessed to meet my husband Aaron Lozier, who also attends St. Barnabas. We were married in 2006 and began seeking out a church where we could raise our new family. Someone suggested St. Barnabas, which we had already heard great things about and we have been a part of the church family ever since. Almost 6 years after our first Sunday, we are now proud to be involved as a family in many aspects of St. B’s. Poete has become an acolyte and will soon attend his first camp experience at Hardnter. Our youngest son Lennon is active in Sunday school and has made some wonderful friends. Aaron currently serves on the Vestry as well as being an usher. And I gladly return (after a 2 year break) as the Senior EYC Minister, which I thoroughly enjoy and consider a blessing in my life. I have the awesome experience of getting to know the children our families and congregation are raising into adults. It is renewing to my faith every Sunday when I am able to witness how wonderful these kids are and how deep the love for their church family runs. I am grateful and hopeful to see my own children blossom within the love and care of our church in the years to come!
