Adult Choir

We Episcopalians hold an appreciation for liturgical excellence, and our music contributes to the faithfulness of our worship. Music brings our praise of God to life, and collects our community in one voice by singing together the many hymns and service music settings that enrich our tradition. The Adult Choir’s task is to lead the music of our liturgy and to bring us all a little closer to our Lord and Maker.

Each Sunday, the Choir provides musical anthems reflecting the themes of the readings and the day’s sermon. Each year, we present two meditative productions: Advent-Christmas Lessons and Carols, and French-language evening Eucharist. Lessons and Carols comprises carols and seasonal scripture readings that tell the story of the Incarnation. We celebrate the annual French Mass entirely in the French language, including our hymns and anthems, readings and sermons, and all the prayers.

This year, under the leadership of our new Minister of Music, Mr. Jude Gaspard, we are looking for people who can commit to this rewarding ministry – remember: Those who sing, pray twice! The ability to read music is an asset, but not a necessity. The key to a great Choir is blending musically with others and being able to work diligently at learning any given piece of music.

The Choir rehearses every Wednesday from 6:30-8:00p, and at 9:15a, before the 10:30a, Sunday morning service. A nursery for children four and under is always provided.
