Where?: Bridge Ministry is located near the “four corners” area of Lafayette at 410 Huval Street.

What?: Bridge Ministry of Acadiana, Inc. is a Christian based nonprofit 501(c)3 organization with a vision to empower lives through Spiritual Transformation, Education, and Neighborhood Revitalization.

Why?: Mission – Bridge Ministry is an inter-denominational Christian holistic ministry called to provide relationship-based programs which (a) empower the under-resourced (poor) and (b) mobilize Acadiana Christians to social responsibility.

When?: Bridge Ministry is a full time ministry, operating year round.

Who?: Connie Sanders, Executive Director, maintains a staff composed of full and part-time employees, and is assisted by numerous volunteers. NelsonWarner, one of the founding members of Bridge Ministry, which started 5 years ago, is still a very important part of the Ministry. Saint Barnabas parishioners Jim Lambert (past Board
Member) and Barbara Lambert, Susan Simon, Kit Howat and Amy Quinn are among the committed volunteers from our congregation.

July 2008: $200 Monetary donation given for school supplies. Saint Barnabas parishioners also collected and delivered two plastic storage bins of school supplies for the “Back to School” Market.

October 2007: $1000 As one of four recipients of Outreach grants given in 2007, the funds were used to host two seminars entitled “A Framework for Understanding Poverty: The hidden rules on economic class.” Church members participated in the project for this grant by helping to organize invitations and host both events.

December 2007: St. Barnabas parishioners collected and delivered Christmas gift items for the “Christmas Market”.
