Where: Samaritan’s Purse international headquarters is located in
Boone, North Carolina.

What?: The emergency relief programs of Samaritan’s Purse provide desperately needed assistance to victims of natural disaster, war, disease, and famine. Offering food, water, and temporary shelter, to meet critical needs and give people a chance to rebuild their lives. Additionally, community development and vocational programs in impoverished villages and neighborhoods help people break the cycle of poverty and give them hope for a better tomorrow.

Why?: Samaritan's Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan's Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ.

When?: This organization is full time and year round.

Who?: Over 35 years ago, Franklin Graham founded Samaritan’s Purse in order to meet people’s needs while sharing God’s love through Jesus Christ. Encouraged by St. Barnabas parishioner Kate Loos, the congregation has supported Samaritan’s Purse since 2005.

October 2008: $350 To be used for postage for Operation Christmas Child boxes. Congregational collection of gift filled boxes to be donated to Operation Christmas Child with a goal of 100 boxes.

December 2007: Parishioners participated in Operation Christmas Child, donating 40 gift filled boxes to the project.
