Where?: Episcopal Relief and Development is located at 815 Second Avenue in NewYork City.

What?: ERD is the compassionate response of The Episcopal Church to human suffering in the world. Hearing God’s Call to seek and serve Christ in all persons and to respect the dignity of every human being by providing relief in times of disaster and
promoting sustainable development by identifying and addressing the root causes of suffering.

Why?: ERD serves to bring together the generosity of Episcopalians and others with the needs of the world. Episcopal Relief and Development faithfully administers the funds that are received from the Church and raised from other sources.

When?: This office is a full time service, working worldwide and year round.

Who?: Episcopal Relief & Development is governed by a 21 member Board of Directors that includes bishops, clergy and lay leaders from around the country. The staff consists of highly qualified experts with extensive management and field experience who work cross-functionally across three divisions: Finance and Administration; External Affairs and Programs.

April 2008: $3000 Monetary donation given for disaster relief in the United States.

October 2007: $400 Proceeds from the “Stand Up, Eat In and Help Out” Dinner hosted by Sam and Lisa Hawkins at St. Barnabas were sent for ERD to use where needed.
