Where?: Foodnet of Lafayette, Louisiana is located at 217 Surry Street which is behind Louisiana Motors at Pontiac Point in Lafayette.

What?: Foodnet is a non-profit food bank serving Lafayette Parish, distributing food donated by the community.

Why?: Although Foodnet of Lafayette, Louisiana, Inc. serves only Lafayette Parish, Foodnet has representatives in more than 68 towns and cities that serve the nine Parishes that comprise Acadiana.

When?: Foodnet business hours are Monday,Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Who?: Foodnet has been a member of UnitedWay since its inception in 1987, and partners with Second Harvest Food Bank of New Orleans and Acadiana. Under the direction of a Board of Directors, the staff includes a paid Executive Director, Mary Ellen Citron, warehouse personnel, basket program manager, and community volunteers.

August 2008: $500 Monetary donation given for food. In addition, one truck load of food was collected by St. Barnabas parishioners and delivered to Foodnet. The food was immediately used for victims of Hurricane Gustav.
