What?: The Miles Perret
Cancer Center provides emotional, financial, and physical support to
the newly diagnosed, those in active treatment, and long-term cancer
survivors.
Why?: The mission of the
center is "To serve families in Acadiana Fighting and Surviving Cancer,
with care and compassion."
When?: The center
operates during the work week and year round.
Who?: Founded in 2003,
the Miles Perret Cancer Center is headed by Executive Director Joan
Savoy. This is the first year that Saint Barnabas has been involved
with the center.
August 2008: As part of a
dedicated financial gift, the ECW packed 200 Breast Cancer Care
Packages which will be given to patients by their doctors prior to
surgery. |
