Solomon House

Where: Solomon House, an outreach project of the Church of the Epiphany, is located at 520 Center Street in New Iberia, Louisiana.

What?: Programs at Solomon House include a Brown Bag food program; emergency funds for utilities, housing and medical needs, disaster relief; and aid for the elderly and children.

Why?: The mission of Solomon House is to provide support, wisdom and guidance for anyone in need. In keeping with the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ, it welcomes all, judges none, and works to foster peace and caring.

When?: Solomon House services are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, year round.

Who?: Beginning in 1983 with the Brown Bag food program initiated by Fr. Ken Cooper, Solomon House is now headed by Minister Ellen Nora, Executive Director. St. Barnabas has supported this ministry since its inception with various donations.

November 2008: Thanksgiving mug donation from EYC

September 2008: $500 Monetary donation for baby diapers. Additionally, St. Barnabas parishioners donated and delivered diapers and baby wipes collected from the month long diaper drive
