Ms. Kate Loos

Senior Warden

Kate Loos currently serves as Senior Warden, an office to which she was elected in February of 2009. During a time of transition in the parish's clergy leadership, Kate brings with her a love of her church and a willingness to challenge its people to action and ministry.

Kate is the mother of two beautiful girls, Mary Katherine (11) and Grace (8) who are students at Episcopal School of Acadiana.  The Loos family has attended Saint Barnabas since 2002.  Kate has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Juris Doctorate degree from LSU.  Since 1983 Kate has been a partner in the Lafayette law firm, Briney & Foret, where she specializes in personal injury litigation and mediation.  Kate is a member of the LSU College of Arts & Science Advisory Council.  Kate and her girls are avid Tiger fans!  Kate has always been an active community volunteer.  For many years, Kate served on Bayou Girl Scout Council's Board of Directors and concluded her tenure as the board's president.

Kate loves working with the talented and enthusiastic members of the Vestry as they face the challenges of an interim period and a rector search.  Kate sees the year to come as one filled with great opportunity for strengthening community and helping everyone find ways to continue growing the many important ministries at St. Barnabas.
